Mirecourt Violin labelled Fourier-Magniè 1941 (OV23123)
This is a sweet sounding Mirecourt Violin of Amati design. It is labelled Fourier-Magniè 1941 and numbered 7977. Fourier Magniè was a violin maker who joined forces with the Laberte workshops for some time to meet the demands for orchestral instruments.
This violin is made from well chosen tonewoods and features a lovely two piece maple back finished in a golden-brown varnish. The condition is good throughout bar some loss of varnish to the right side of the fingerboard.
It is set up with Evah Pirazzi strings and Wittner tailpiece and possesses a fine, sweet tone. It has ample volume and good sonority in the lower strings.
A perfect instrument for a committed classical student looking for sensitivity in their performances.
Comes supplied in a new lightweight case.
