Jerome Thibouville Lamy Violin 1920 Geronimo Grandini Label (OV24072)
The JTL workshop in Mirecourt, France was a prolific business from 1870-1950. Some of the renowned makers of the time supervised the quality of instruments being manufactured.
This violin is a Stradivari model with a two piece maple back and good quality top of spruce. It’s finished in a golden brown varnish and is in very good condition throughout.
The violin has a responsive sonorous tone with plenty of volume. It’s set up with Evah Pirazzi strings and Wittner tailpiece for fine tuning.
A lovely well made instrument and suited to a committed student or traditional fiddler. Comes in a lightweight case.
