Orchard Violins, Ballymoyer

Mirecourt, French Violin labelled V. Heureaux (OV24095)

The length of the back is 360 mm).

This violin was most likely made in the Laberte-Humbert workshops in the 1920-30s.    It is of good tonal quality and made from well-selected tonewoods.  It has a good one piece piece maple back and is finished in a golden-brown varnish, typical of many Mirecourt instruments.

The violin has a warm and resonant tone with good volume and balance throughout.  Suitable for a committed classical student or Irish/Scottish Traditional Fiddler.

It is in good condition and is set up with a Wittner tailpiece and Evah Pirazzi strings.

Comes supplied in a new lightweight case.
