Mittenwald Violin circa 1920s (OV24096)
This violin was made in Mittenwald, Germany, possibly in the Neuner and Hornsteiner factory. It has a two piece maple back and is finished in an amber-brown varnish. The label references the Klotz family, who were a renowned violin making family working in the Mittenwald region from the 17th Century.
It has a resonant tone with good volume and balance throughout. Suitable for an advancing classical student or Irish/Scottish Traditional Fiddler.
It is in good condition and is set up with a Wittner tailpiece and Evah Pirazzi strings.
Comes supplied in a new lightweight case.
