Mirecourt Laberte-Humbert Workshop, labelled Micael Deconet (OV24114))
Length of back: 360mm
This violin was made in the Laberte-Humbert Workshops in Mirecourt around 1920. It is a Stradivari model with an attractively figured two piece maple back and good quality top of spruce. It is beautifully finished in a spirit based varnish of amber-brown and is in very good condition throughout.
The violin has a warm sonorous tone with plenty of volume. It’s set up with Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece for fine tuning.
A fine instrument suited to a committed student or traditional fiddler.
Comes in a lightweight case.
